I have been submitting my taxes to Arcus Taxation Accountants for the last 4 years. I was not ticking the box as I have lived in 6 different countries around the world. Andrew and Jo are not only friendly and courteous they are also professional, quick and efficient. They went out of their way to help me. Andrew even called my bank in Switzerland and spoke to the relevant managers. Andrew also had to learn about the different tax laws in the countries I lived in to be able to sort them out with the Inland Revenue. I have moved to the other end of the UK and I had to take an accountant just nearby. I know perfectly that I will never find such a high level of professionalism and dedication, it just happens once and did not happen with the other accountants that I had around the globe for the past 33 years.

Having been quoted over £1300 by a local VW dealership for repairs to my car I phoned these guys. They quoted less than a third for the same job and turned the car around in a day. Happy to use these guys again.

We have purchased many a car from Charles and his fabulous team (21 at last count 🙈). We also buy from other specialists and can honestly say the level of service from Charles is exemplary. His cars are as they are described to the letter, no questions need asking, we buy from his say so, if he says he will call you he will, nothing seems too much trouble. Without a doubt the most trustworthy and genuine "dealer" we have ever dealt with.

Having had quotes from several carpet cleaning companies we were pleased when Elite Rutland paid a visit to quote for our carpets and couch to be cleaned. Absolutely outstanding service. We were looking for a company to an end of tenancy carpet clean as we were worried we wouldn't get our deposit back, the carpets had a few stains and were very dirty. We shouldn't have worried they came at the time arranged and the carpets were superb I was most surprised. Whilst they were there I mentioned that I needed an oven cleaner they informed me they did that too it was like new. I got all my deposit back and a glowing reference from the landlord. I have used Amanet for several years for IT support and computer services. The team are incredibly helpful - always trying to solve my problems via the phone if possible. Took my computer in to remove a DVD that had stuck in the CD Drive. I agreed to pay the cost for removing the back based on a minimum one hour rate. Which they offered to do the same day. However within a few minutes of me leaving their office they managed to remove the disc without dismantling the PC and subsequently waived the fee. Great friendly service. Thank You Pete T (Oakham)

Our house sold (STC) within a week and we exchanged seven weeks later. We couldn't ask for more from this fantastic team. Easily the best estate agents in Oakham!

I usually have my hair cut in Birmingham, but I'm in Oakham for the weekend and needed a last-minute haircut. Wayne took extra care in making sure he knew exactly what I wanted, and he's really done an excellent job. The salon itself is also nicely decorated and spacious. Would highly recommend Thomas Hairdressing.

These guys are awesome. A team of friendly, enthusiastic and talented girls situated in a great boutique salon in the middle of Oakham – what a gem. I was welcomed with a huge smile, and they had specialty teas and locally roasted coffee as refreshments along with magazines and even nail varnish so I could paint my nails whilst I was there. They listened to exactly what I wanted and helped with advice and suggestions; I am so thrilled with the outcome and left feeling completely pampered! I can’t wait to go back!

Had a shoot there for my baby and the experience was fantastic. Couldn't be more accommodating to me and my girlfriend. Super attentive to my baby (she had an "accident" and it wasn't a problem). From the reviews on the camera the photos look like they'll be phenomenal!

Best food ive ever had

One of the best Chinese take-aways oakham had to offer, the only Chinese located that side of the level crossing and food is great. Busiest days are Friday and Saturday so be sure to order as soon as it opens in the evening due to long waits for the order. Not only is it one of the best tasting, it is also the best value for money as well. Do not forget to try the salt & chilli chips too.

Very hot and fresh ... Always order from here ... Never had a bad meal. The waiting time can be long but it’s worth it and also shows the food is freshly made! 5 stars!!!

Absolutely fantastic service! We were stuck in the middle of nowhere and didn’t realise it would be so difficult to get a taxi. They managed to squeeze us in, even though we needed a six seater and we weren’t in their taxi area. They got us home safely and very cheaply. If we’re ever in this area again we’ll definitely be using them (but we’ll pre book this time!). Thank you guys for getting us out of a difficult spot!

Having used the veterinary hospital since it opened they have cared for and treated all 8 of my dogs both workers and pets. I have always found the service to be of a very high standard, and prices that match all local services. I would recommend the pet plan I have found it to offer all that I require and more at a very reasonable price.
