Stayed here for the night of a family wedding. Our room was beautiful and finished to a high standard. We were very lucky and had a wonderful view from our balcony of the beautiful surroundings of Rutland water. You need not want for anything here as everything is provided for your comfort. Would thoroughly recommend it for your stay in the area if you want luxury and comfort.
Staff 10/10, rooms were a bit old 7/10 (bathroom was great), gym was too rusty and limited equipment. The restaurant had nice dishes and the waiters were the nicest. The pillows and mattresses were not great as I struggled sleeping. However, I am sure this will get better as the people there are willing to make your stay great.

What a wonderful place the The Finch's Arms is, excellent food, service and atmosphere. I highly recommend! We sat outside on a glorious day with our border collie and were looked after perfectly. Thank you staff.
Ok so it was a gorgeous sunny day.. so stunning to sit outside. Welcoming staff, lovely place and nice food and drink.. Good views from outside too.... But it was also nice inside so don't let the rain out you off!

Beautiful setting near Rutland Water. Smart restaurant with attentive staff and excellent food. Prices start from £6 starters, £18 for a main course and £6 for dessert. Good wine selection. Large car park and beautiful grounds. A visit here is always special, whether for lunch, Afternoon Tea or evening.
We went for lunch not to stay. The food and service are very good. Sat in the pretty courtyard in the sun and watched all the bird life...sparrows and chaffinches in abundance. My only advice would be not to let smokers spoil the main courtyard....they could be sent elsewhere. I am sure the place is large enough to accommodate this. Otherwise it spoils it for others sitting outside eating and drinking or just enjoying the air.

Had a really fantastic lunch here, the service was top notch. The beer was delicious and great selection. Conservatory was a lovely location to eat. Couldn't say a bad word about it
We had some delicious cocktails here! I drank mine five times faster than my friends (they were soooo nice) so the experience became a bit of a blur! They were reasonably priced. The decor is lovely. There were children milling around quite happily. The staff were friendly and efficient. We did not order food.

Had a couple of baguettes with by with wife which were very tasty. The home cooked chips were particularly nice. The beer garden was small and enclosed but pleasant on the warm day we went. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only downside, and a big one, was the beer. Since this is an Everard's pub the choice was limited to the bland "ales" despite the interesting sounding names. A great pity if you are looking for a nice place with decent proper beer.
Nice pub to visit sat out in the garden which is very beautiful and full of pretty flowers pink purple and white .Lovely shrubs and very pleasant to sit in,it has a very English cottage garden feel and the the view of the church steeple makes a stunning feature of interest to look at and take photos. The surroundings are old stone buildings of character and are picturesque. There were also pretty lights and English bunting that gave it a party happy feel. If you like playing pub bowls there is a section for that to . It is dog friendly and the family in front of us had four lovely dogs that were having a nice time and were given bowls of water to drink from and had supper with their owners . They tucked into their meal and appeared to enjoy it . We just had drinks as we had a pre booking at a restaurant but will definitely try it out next time.

I liked the pub and found the staff very pleasant and helpful. There were three of us and we decided to have lunch. One, decided to order Pasta and two of us ordered a Pork Dish. The Pork Dish was served with vegetables which were a little undercooked. The meal overall was more than acceptable. When I went to pay the Bill I offered as payment a £50 and a £10 note and was informed by the staff member that they did not accept £50 notes. It was fortunate that I had smaller denomination notes on me, as otherwise I would have had the embarrassment of having to ask my friends to assist as I did not have my credit/debit cards with me. This could have been embarrassing with my friends and It is unlikely that I would return here because of this experience.
Always decent real ales and friendly service, whenever I visit. Service at the bar can sometimes be frustratingly slow. The staff are always busy yet professional and polite. The atmosphere is relaxed and cosy. A quiet, classy, country pub, in the heart of the market town. The food is always reliable, but there's not much choice for the gluten intolerant or vegans.
